The Swope Health Foundation is dedicated to raising funds and building community awareness in support of Swope Health Services. The efforts of the foundation compliment the work of Swope staff to provide easily-accessible, compassionate and affordable primary health care, outreach and behavioral health services to those in need. More than 40,000 patients are served through five clinic locations. More than 90 percent of patients live below the poverty level.

Gifts received through the foundation help provide many vital services including:

• Quality medical treatment, caring support, counseling and education to not only improve physical health but to also instill hope and self-esteem.
• New medical equipment and state-of-the-art technology.
• Support and outreach services to promote spiritual and emotional health of patients, families and communities.

Annual Events

The Swope Health Foundation annually sponsors two special fund-raising events:

• Jazz Outreach 2008 - It's an all star line-up of more than 50 of Kansas City's premier jazz artists including Everette DeVan, Millie Edwards, Angela Hagenbach, Julie Turner, Tommy Ruskin, Tim Whitmer, Mama Ray, The Wild Women, The Vibe, The Beach Nuts and Trash Mouth, just to name a few! • Jazz Outreach 2007 - The Kansas City area’s largest indoor jazz event features Kansas City jazz musicians donating their performances to raise money and awareness for Swope Health Services' outreach programs.
